“One Step from Eternity”
Thousands of birds, and mammals, are either facing extinction or already extinct in the wild and only in zoos or reserves. We pollute the seas with plastic and other trash that marine mammals and turtles eat only to die. Fisherman’s lines choking them…How much can the seas absorb from the radioactive waste that spilled and may still be spilling into the oceans from the Fukushima disaster. Acid rain is killing the fish in rivers, streams, and lakes. So are we next?

Tina Avilés Sculptures
Born in New York City on February 18th, 1943 to a New Yorker mother and an Ecuadorian father. She spent 13 years of her formative years living in Guayaquil, Ecuador with her family.
